What's new in CPP Poland

On March 19-23, the 152nd annual TMS meeting and exhibition took place in San Diego (USA). It is one of the largest and most reputable material conferences.This event consists of many thematic plenary sessions, where in a few days you can learn about the latest research in a wide range of materials fields, conducted around the world. During the conference, suppliers of materials and equipment also exhibit in the hall, presenting their latest solutions. In the afternoons, poster sessions are also conducted, where you can also present the results of your research work.

CPP Poland was represented this year by 2 people from the research and development department and 1 person from the technology department. As part of the conference, we were able to disseminate the results of research carried out by CPP together with Polish universities.The projects were carried out with the support of government funding.The first poster "Analysis of the phase stability in the directionally solidified Ni-based superalloy MAR-M247" prepared within the POIR.01.01.01-00-1335/20 project, while the second "Microstructure evaluation of the turbine high pressure HPT aircraft engine rotor blades with internal channels reproduced by monolithic cores" developed within the POIR.04.01.04-00-0001/17-00 project.

TMS is an interesting experience during which you can broaden your knowledge, talk to representatives of various research units and suppliers. Although the weather was not entirely good, but in my free time it was nice to walk around San Diego.
