What's new in CPP Poland

On March 3-7, 2024, the 153rd edition of the renowned TMS conference took place in Orlando (USA).

It is a large material conference that consists of thematic plenary sessions, where over the course of several days you can learn about the research currently conducted around the world, materials and devices are exhibited, and poster sessions are held in the afternoons. These sessions are an additional opportunity for discussion and meetings. For several years, CPP Poland has been using this prestigious event to disseminate the results of research carried out as part of projects co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development. This year, two posters were presented: "Influence of the solution heat-treatment on the microstructure changes of the directionally solidified MAR-M247 Ni-based superalloy" developed as part of the POIR.01.01.01-00-1335/20 project and "The as cast microstructure and oxidation resistance of the X 40 Co based superalloy for aerospace applications" prepared as part of the POIR.01.01.01-00-0631/18 project. The first of the posters was particularly popular and was qualified by the judging committee to the finals of the competition for the best poster.

During TMS, we were also able to talk to representatives of scientific institutions from all over the world. We have also renewed acquaintances, which in the future may result in conducting joint research.
